It is really important for us how we create our products and the materials we use to make them. Our materials have been chosen with care
because we know the impact they have on the planet. We choose materials that minimize waste and high consumption. We are committed to design and create responsibly made products.
Here are some FAQS about the materials we use:
About our garments
♥ Linen is our primary fabric in our garments. It is a textile made out of flax, a natural plant fiber. This fabric is natural and does not harm the planet during its creation; and as a consequence, when we wash it, we don’t leave behind toxic chemicals in our water systems. Linen is laborious to manufacture, but the fiber is very strong, absorbent, and dries faster than cotton. Garments made of linen are valued for their exceptional coolness and freshness in hot and humid weather.
About our jewelry
All our jewelry is made of the best materials in the industry; created to last a lifetime. As of December 2020, we started making all our productions with recycled metals.
Do you remember that silver bracelet your grandmother had?
♥ Gold filled jewelry is the latest introduction to the jewelry market. Since gold prices have gone up, the cost of solid gold jewelry can be very high. Gold filled is an accessible alternative, while giving little up in quality. If you care for it properly, it will last long.
♥ Sterling Silver is an alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. We plate our silver jewelry in rhodium, which gives it extra shine and durability. Rhodium is one of the more costly precious metals due to its rarity.
♥ Vermeil is a thick layer of gold which gives the pieces their long lasting color. For a piece to be considered vermeil, the gold must be a minimum of 1.5 microns. We use an 18k gold layer on sterling silver.
♥ 14k gold is 58.5% gold + a mix of other metals; having high percentage of gold allows it to last a lifetime with minimal care.
